Duterte Names Judge on "Narco-list"

Although I've been using this source a few times, it's the first time I've noticed the subline under the newspaper headline. It reads "Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom," which struck me as odd because it's almost a direct quotation from Thomas Jefferson (and through translation could be completely correct). Just an interesting incorporation of English culture into the Philippines.
Besides that, it's interesting how Duterte always manages to shift attention away from himself and onto others. The pivoting he gets away with might be due to a press that doesn't hold him to the highest standard, or it could be because he simply is as innocent as he claims. Regardless, heavy-hitting journalism is rather absent from the more popular publications. It'll be interesting to follow this arc further.
