Zev joins the class

Hi, I’m Zev! I’m a senior History major (focusing on South Asia, where my family is from) who has had the opportunity to explore Southeast Asia by studying the Tamil diaspora in Southeast Asia (the legal regulation of Thaipusam in Singapore and Malaysia as well as other topics), spending significant time in the region (Myanmar, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand in particular), and studying the Slametan ritual in Java and Suriname (I have also spent time at an Indonesian mosque in New York). I also took the Politics of Culture in Southeast Asia in 2018. I’m excited to learn more!
